Information about Masjid E Nabvi in Madina Sharif, when you are in front of Holy Tomb of Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAAW.
In front of the holy tomb of Hazrat Muhammad SAAW, you will see three section having doors with three holes in them. From right side to left three of them represent the graves of Prophet Muhammad SAAW, Hazrat Abu Bakr R.A and Hazrat Umer R.A respectively. You can see this in below given picture.
The number mentioning 1 is of Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAAW, the number 2 is of Hazrat Abu Bakr R.A, where number three represents the grave of Hazrat Umar R.A. Standing in front of it and facing it, say in a respectful and hushed voice:
"Assalamu alaika, ayyuhan-nabiyya wa rahmatul-lahi wa barakatuhu"
(Peace be on you, O Prophet, and the mercy and blessings of Allah)
You can also recite Darood E Ibrahimi or any darood in your word with are the best you can send your Prophet Muhammad SAAW. For example you can say,
"Assalatu was-salamu alaika ya Rasul-Allah"
"Assalatu was-salamu alaika ya Nabi-yallah"
"Assalatu was-salamu alaika ya Habib-Allah"
After then, you are expected to supplicate Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala in following words,
"Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina azabin nar."
Then turn to other holes, and say Salam to Hazrat Abu Bakr Saddique R.A and Hazrat Umar R.A in front of their respective holes. After sending Salam on whole Ummah of Prophet SAAW, including your friends and relatives, and after supplicating Hazrat Abu Bakr, Umar R.A and other Sahaba R.A (Companions of Hazrat Muhammad SAAW), it is Mustahib to offer 40 rakat of Salaat (Nimaz: Prayer) in Masjid E Nabvi (Prophet’s Mosque).
