How to Become a Better Muslim - Muslim is said to be a person who follows the religion of Islam. Literally Muslim means “who submits” to Allah. Consequently a better Muslim is a person who bitterly follows Islam. In another words, a better Muslim is the practicing Muslim who practices Islam without showing any reluctance.

Thus, to become a better practicing Muslim, one must have certain qualities or have to produce special characteristics in his/her life. Some of the main suggestion we’re about to present here. As every Muslim wanted to be a better Muslim, we’d hope that these set of advice will be helpful to you inshallah. May Allah SWT you Taufeeq to follow the advice to be a good practicing Muslim and at the behalf of this, Allah SWT may grant us reward and forgive our sins.

To become a good Muslim, one must acquire two main properties in his personality namely the will to follow Islam and the knowledge about Islam on which a person need to act. The wish or will to practice Islam will let a person incline towards following Islam, to know what Islam is, and how to act in certain situation to please Allah SWT. So it will become natural for that person to seek knowledge about Islam in general.

However, if one don’t have will to follow Islam, or love to attain the please Allah SWT, he wouldn’t have inclination to learn or seek the knowledge of Islam. Even in case he/she is acquiring the knowledge of Islam, that knowledge will not be able to reflect in his personality. So he will not become a better Muslim.

And secondly, acquiring précised knowledge about Islam is one of the fundamental issues in Islam. Without knowing Islam one cannot be able to act on Islam, irrespective of how much he wills to practice Islam. As Prophet Muhammad SAWW said,
 

“Seeking knowledge is obligatory on both men and women”

For example, if a person doesn’t have knowledge about how to pray, he will not be able to pray in a way that Islam guides us, irrespective of how much he has desire to offer prayer to please Allah SWT.

May Allah SWT create in us inclination to love Islam and increase our knowledge about Islam, Amin!
