Three Types of Hajj

Hajj is obligatory (Wajib) on every sane and adult Muslim, male or female once in life if able physically or financially according to Islam. Where Islam orders to obtain Hajj as obligatory, Islam also refers the Sunnah of Beloved Prophet Muhammad Rasool Allah Sallalla-O-Alaih-e-Wasallim to seek the method or way of performing the Hajj, as Rasool Allah SAAW said,

Hajj Tamajju - In Case One Do not Bring the Sacrificial Animal

The ruling of Islam in case one is unable to bring Sacrificial Animal on Hajj: The one who intend to make hajj must bring the animal to sacrifice it in the name of Allah by fulfilling the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim A.S. In case, the one who is about to make Hajj unfortunately unable to bring the Animal (Hady) with him/her, then s(he) should perform Hajj of Tamattu, that is, performing `Umrah during the Hajj season.

In this case, the haji (Pilgrim) gets into the state of Ihram for Hajj on the day of Tarwiyah. One should make intention for Umrah when approaching the Miqat place by saying,
 

"Labbayk-Allahumma labbayka bi'Umrah!" or "Labbayka 'Umratan!"

Destination to Medina

If the pilgrim (Haji) coming outside from the Saudi Arabia for hajj i.e. coming from other country, it is possible that his/her destination might be Medina.

 The Miqats Ruling in Islam

Miqat is an Arabic word. The literal meaning of Miqat is "a stated place" or station. In Shari’ah, Meqat are the stations set by Prophet Muhammad SAAW for the pilgrims (Haji) who want to perform hajj, where pilgrims (Haji) put on Ihrām, the pilgrim's garment i.e. the stations where pilgrims get into the state to Ihram.
